What I liked the most was how personable the owner was. I'm a gringo and I appreciated the owner speaking Spanish with me. I ordered to go and got the shrimp cocktail and Al pastor burrito. The shrimp cocktail had a ton of shrimp in it and the avocado was freshly sliced in it. Whenever I'm passing through town again I will definitely stop by. I love supporting locally owned restaurants that are sharing their family recipes with us all. Thank you for the bomb dinner! Cheers!

Best Mexican food in the state . Authentic. Building looks a little run down but the food is hard to beat. Kind friendly staff too. Always stop here when in the area. Carne asada, Chrizo tacos are legit. Chimichangas are amazing. Nothing bad on the menu. Prices are a little high considering it's a walk up counter.

This little place is a gem!! Fast, fresh, and friendly. It is a quick ordering counter service although they do bring your meal and chips and salsa directly to the table. This location has been a Mexican restaurant for as long as I can remember (20 years at least) and we have always found it a great stop. The current management is putting out delicious food, and keeping up with great safety measures for Covid-19. Today for an early dinner we stopped in. My tostada was divine, with succulent and large chunks of beef, fresh lettuce, cheese, crema, and nice ripe avo. My husband's flautas were a hit with him too, the meat was on point and the texture was perfect because of how fresh it was. We heard them drop into the fryer as we sat down and they were brought right out to us. As for safety, the cook was wearing gloves and mask, the (spaced out) tables all have plexiglass to separate them, and the register also has plexi to separate. The salsa is no longer serve yourself, but that's okay because the service was fast and she brought out chips and salsa immediately.

Excellent excellent excellent. If you don't like authentic Taco Bell is for you. Had their tacos and the tripe soup. It's out there but the flavor texture and quality was on point. There's a few locations in America where Mexican food is on point and usually "washngiton" would not be one of them with the exception of this little gem. They brought us chips to Munch on while waiting for food the service was excellent and food matched it. If you want the real deal check them out.

Yum!! Glad I stopped in at this somewhat unassuming restaurant on the corner. You order at the counter and the gentlemen taking my order (I believe the owner) was really kind and friendly. Complimentary chips and salsa were fresh and and slightly spicy! The flautas with shredded beef was crazy good!! The meat was tender and flavorful, not too salty. They didn't skimp on the guac or sour cream, and the rice and beans were good on their own! Didn't feel like a side just to be a side... I'd highly recommend you skip any of the chain restaurants and come here for some authentic Mexican food!

I stumbled upon this place looking for a quick lunch on a rainy day and I was extremely impressed. I like my spicy food and this place came out with flying colors in hitting the right chord. They had a whole vegetarian section which I am thankful for as I usually have to modify meat dishes to make them vegetarian, and they end up being essentially a filling of cheese and beans. But here, I got a veggie taco and a veggie quesadilla with quite a lot of veggies in addition to beans and cheese and for less than $10 I was well fed with tasty and wholesome food. The wait for my food was minimal and the service staff was very nice. I absolutely loved the complimentary salsa (with chips) that was pretty flavorful and spicy. I loved it so much that I asked for seconds and they provided it without any extra charge. When I expressed my delight at the spice level of the regular salsa, they gave me another spicier salsa to taste. I had a great experience here and would not think of going to any other restaurant if I am back in the area.

I used to eat at Los Jarritos once in awhile a few years and I'm not sure why I quit going there, the food and service are both excellent! I needed a quick lunch so I stopped in to have a burrito. They have the "Wet" option for all the Burritos on the menu, so your Burrito is served covered in a yummy sauce, with a light sprinkle of cheese on top. I know the Veggie Burrito is excellent, but this time I went for the Chicken Burrito and it was really tasty too, and enough for two meals. They used to have this really good little salsa bar with several different varieties of salsa, but that is now gone, and they bring chips and salsa out to your table. The service is very fast, and the food is served hot, not something I get in a lot of Mexican Restaurants for some reason. I'm going to make a point of stopping in to Los Jarritos more often, same owners, and same great food.
